The search for exquisite and unique travel destinations across the globe has led to a massive globe hunt by all the prospective travellers with the hope of finding a name in the atlas that is unique and a place that they would probably be the first ones to visit. This quest for that ideal vacation spot has brought out names that were never heard before. Mongolia is one of those places that have recently come to the fore and are promising destinations for an adventure and fun filled holiday.

The reason why this place had not been on the list of a travellers’ must visit destinations is that its international connectivity was very poor. Although it is not yet extraordinary, but a significant improvement has been made on this front. The road network too is very low on convenience and comfort levels since it is battered at many sites and full of dirt tracks. Since the modes of local transport are scanty and extremely uncomfortable, they cannot be relied upon, especially by a tourist who is new to the place and has little idea about the land altogether. Although the capital city has come of age and provides competent facilities even in the hospitality sector, the countryside still ranks low on facilities like high comfort lodging.

Nonetheless, the tourism sector has almost doubled in the recent times and services have drastically improved as the focus of the authorities has shifted over developing Mongolia as a favoured tourist destination. The quality of available stores and the number of stores have increased considerably. The shortage of good hotels in the countryside has been smartly made up by providing camping locales and tents for a unique holiday experience in the lap of nature. But it would be recommended that you hire a local guide when exploring the countryside so as to minimise the chances of inconvenience. Since the roads score a minimum on placing of necessary road signs, a stranger could be stuck in a land of unknown and undecipherable origin. Moreover the local guide will serve as an interpreter and thus make your stay and vacation extremely comfortable.

But, here is a statutory warning intended for those who are looking for low prices considering the under developed tourism sector; mind your expenses. The reality, in fact, is sharply contrasting. Since the local travel is not much developed, the facilities that are available can be highly priced in view of the limited availability. So a travel towards this part of the globe could end up storming your pocket much more than you could have actually imagined. Having said this, it would be worthwhile to add that even in the case that you would end up spending more than you had estimated, you will not regret your decision because the major attractions of this land and the picturesque beauty and appeal of Mongolia is far beyond words can explain. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and explore!
